What is a ISO image?, and is it a requirement?.

Yes. 'ISO' images that you may see with a lot of distributions are a CD-ROM/DVD-ROM images. They can only be used by someone who owns a CD-R/DVD-R/W recordable/rewritable device, You'll see there mostly 1 gigagbytes (Gb) or more, which can be the full distribution or part of. In our case its the full distribution. You also need some type of CD/DVD-Burner software. To get the ISO image onto a CD/DVD disc, you have to burn it using CD/DVD-Burner software to a blank CD/DVD-R or CD/DVD-R/W. How it's done in my theory is by small laser inside of the CD/DVD-R/W device, then burns the "data" Files/Image(s) to a CD/DVD Disc. Unlike regular CD/DVD's you buy from a store, there usually pressed images, not burned onto CD/DVD's, but of course both accomplish the same basic task. This is to clarify this issue, as some people have been wondering "what was an iso?"). We hope this helps someone out.

Okay, i have burned 'aLive-14.0-CD.iso' to my disc, how do i boot from it?.

Please set boot parameters in Bios setup. If you don't understand what the BIOS/C-MOS of your computer is, try to browse through the manual that came with your computer or the Motherboard (Main boards) manufacturer. Usually you hit the [DEL.], [F8] [F11] or [F12] key a few seconds after you've turned your computer on, and it should enter Bios setup. What you change is the boot sequence, from say "C: A: SCSI" TO "CD/DVD-ROM C: SCSI" than you'll be able to boot off the CD/DVD-ROM iso9660 block image. If you have an Atapi IDE, SCSI or CD/DVD/RW compatible CD/DVD device with BIOS support, you should be able to boot your system up with the CD/DVD-ROM, for Installing & repairing aLinux. Run 'setup' after logged in. This image assumes you have a spare Linux Native 83 partition already created, if not, read the INSTALL.TXT that comes with the alinux.iso before hand.
